We all have (if we go in a big wild environment) to bring "a lot" of staff...for scouting...

I did find a solution to brig a little less staff without take less functionality tools.
For my photos camera and video cam, I just take a video one that make also, not to bad pics (If I don't want make artistic pics like some artist we heave here).

About phone, compass, GPS, note book, I just 1 month ago bought a cell phone that make all those think (HTC Hero), that small and give me a mp3 Walkman when I want, the stars position and description a dog whistle, a "tape" recorder, a clock, and a ballistics table (with a good autonomy, I'll buy some solar recharge for it to).

Swiss knife can be helpful to.
Etc. ...
