Post A hunt to follow throughout the season
I am posting a map and details of the do-it-yourself area
on here for the ranch. This area is for hunters who want to
use their own stand or blinds and set up by themselves.
It will be tough as they will not have the opportunity to
scout beforehand. The area has alot of deer and I am
confident some good deer will come out of there. I will update
this post through the season as people hunt it. Deer sightings and
deer harvested along with stand placement. I will try to add time of
day and weather conditions. I think this will be pretty interesting
for us to see how it works out.
The field marked "alfalfa" is not yet planted and nothing will be up until
the first or second week of October. The field marked "cotton" might be
wheat but the farmer is leaning towards cotton. There is a feeder a few hundred
yards south of the area marked "thick mesquite". Also there is an alfalfa field
about 1/4 mile NW of the top left part of the map.
