 My first time Elk hunting plan!?Hi every one,
I would like to go in Colorado for my first Elk hunt in 2011. It's in a long time, but I want to fix all I can before to go.  Can you tell me, at what time the rut are beginning? When the Elk loose them velvet? So all the biological detail about Elk live... (A complete web site address will be fine too). I have a friend in Colorado - you can PM me. Have to check on rut in CO but in Montana it is the second-half of September. I believe in Colorado, the best elk rut time is the first-half of October. I might be able to get you a good price. I think you might want to check New Mexico for elk. A fellow JH Pro Staffer is a licensed elk guide for a very nice outfitter.
