 2009 Buck
Finally after a long dry spell it ended this evening...not the buck I was after but a decent 8 point anyway There is only one more day left for shotgun season and this fellow was about 80 yards out and I was about frozen.....so the rest is history

Beautiful 8 point. Great going! What are the reports from your area this year from others? Any monsters yet?

 Re: 2009 Buck
Thanks everybody.
Carey-I haven't heard of any truly big ones taken around here. Since the state did away with the check stations and went to a call-in reporting it's hard to say how the harvest is going or what has been taken. It used to be a lot of fun to hang out and see what kind of deer came in and hear from other hunters. Seems like we are up from last year and all the deer I have in the shop are good deer (last year I had several 'basket racks').
